This proposal endeavours to establish the first clinical mechanism for long-term, objective, and continuous monitoring of brain activity and blood flow in stroke sufferers in a rural healthcare setting, providing actionable and real-time insights into patient deterioration and treatment response. This intervention, a non-invasive, wearable medical device, will seek to replace the only true comparator: subjective and intensive physical assessments of neurological function conducted by clinical staff at regular intervals.
