In 2019 all Australian governments made a commitment to working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to overcome the inequalities still experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia. This National Agreement on Closing the Gap contains four Priority Reforms and 19 national socio-economic targets. All applicants to the Challenge are required to consider how their solution will contribute to Closing the Gap in Australia.
